Into Outer Space

We had a great week exploring the worlds above us. Talking about astronauts, meteors, stars, moons and rockets gave us great opportunities to work on our preschool skills. It was fun to spend a week in the stars!
The children all really enjoyed figuring out how to configure the pieces to get their marbles to roll down to the bottom. Porsche built one that ended up being taller than her! Sierra is gearing up the follow in her mommas footsteps (and her grandma's and all her aunts) in teaching. She arranged the chairs with journals and invited all the children to come learn from her.
Bouncing on the moon!

After all that bouncing we needed some quiet story time. I love how the children all chose to sit right next to each other as the looked at their space books.

Watching with great awe as marbles created beautiful paintings.

Orbiting round and round as fast as you can. Each child had a turn to be the sun while the other planets orbited around them.

Gideon's contribution to our driveway universe.

Boston and Kyler working with shapes to create rockets.

It was a big dress-up day with astronauts, fairy's, knights, captains and even a puppy.

5,4,3,2,1 BLAST OFF!

After the children finished measuring the distance their rockets flew, the girls had to measure everything.

Playing "meteor ball" (a preschool rendition of dodge ball) on a beautiful winter day.
